About
Us
Established in April, 2008 - S.F.L.U.G.
(The Southern Fleurieu Linux Users Group) are an active group of
people who share a common interest in both Linux
(The FREE Computer Operating System) & F.O.S.S.
(Free Open Source Software.)
S.F.L.U.G. are not a geek club filled with computer snobs who only
speak computer code – we're 'normal' every day people who
speak to each other in plain/simple to understand conversational
english.
Best of all, we are both apolitical and areligious (We're not run
by Churches or Political Parties) which means that if you've ever
been interested in finding out what Linux and/or F.O.S.S. can do
for you, your family, your Social Club and/or your Business –
we just might be the answer you've been looking for!
The ways we interact with each other include our online resources,
such as our forum, mailing list & website - not to mention our
twice monthly in person meetings on the first and third Wednesday
evening's at 7:30pm (1930hrs) CST with meeting venues held in alternation
between Victor Harbour and Goolwa.
Our meetings are relaxed and informal, and take a more practical
approach through interactive presentations, tutorials, and workshops.
For further information about our group, transport,
or if you want an opportunity to speak at one of our meetings/events
please visit our contact page.
